Where It Began
Born and raised in Kuwait, Dr. Sanaa Jaman developed a love for mathematics and problem-solving from an early age. During her teenage years, as she faced depression, anxiety, and abuse, math became her refuge. She went on to earn a doctorate in environmental engineering sciences from the University of Florida in 2016.
Her yoga journey began in 2013 as a simple at-home practice but soon evolved into a transformative path of self-discovery and healing. Through movement and mindfulness, she found the tools to process past trauma, acknowledge her emotions, and strengthen her mental well-being.
Known for her deep empathy and intuitive support, Sanaa has a rare gift for understanding and uplifting those around her. Whether as a mentor, teacher, or friend, she has an undeniable ability to leave people better than she found them—helping others heal, grow, and step into their fullest potential.
Creating Space
As Sanaa deepened her yoga journey, she noticed a lack of diversity in the yoga community—an imbalance she had also experienced in the engineering field. Determined to create a more inclusive space, she pursued teacher training in 2014 to deepen her understanding of yoga’s history and philosophy. Though she hadn’t intended to teach, she felt called to share this transformative practice with others.
Today, she is dedicated to making yoga accessible to all, hosting international retreats, innovative workshops, and teacher training programs that empower people worldwide to heal, grow, and overcome their struggles.
Invoking Change
In the summer of 2015, Sanaa launched the groundbreaking #DorkTour, a nationwide workshop series designed to make yoga and healing accessible to all. Welcoming people of every background, these workshops blend movement, mindfulness, and reflection within a supportive community. Through this work, Sanaa empowers attendees to deepen their self-exploration, heal from within, and step into their highest potential.
Leading Others
With over a decade of teaching experience, Sanaa Jaman is both a dedicated student and a skilled guide. As a student in a highly regarded yoga therapy program, she brings deep authenticity to her teaching—sharing personal experiences to help others break through mental and physical barriers.
A respected 200-hour teacher trainer at Tru3 Yoga and a one-on-one mentor, Sanaa specializes in trauma-informed yoga, meditation, yoga for grief, depression, and anxiety, the business of yoga, and curriculum development. Her work empowers students and teachers alike to grow, heal, and expand their practice with confidence.
A Bright Future
Today, Sanaa is a dedicated wellness practitioner, lifelong student, and international teacher. Her work spans across Kuwait, Morocco, Peru, Indonesia, South Africa, and the U.S., bringing accessible and transformative wellness practices to diverse communities. She has authored multiple yoga e-books, launched an eco-friendly inner(G) clothing and yoga mat brand, and founded Tru3 Yoga, an innovative studio in her hometown of Kuwait.
