#FitCurveChallenge- Yasmine
I couldn’t contain my excitement when I received this email. This beauty really made me smile so hard with her progression both mentally and physically. Meet Yasmine (@SU17SHI17E), mother of 2 (14 and 9 years old). She got into a car accident in 2012, which lead her to being stressed out and depressed. Some of the few bad habits she picked up were eating poorly and smoking cigarettes. She is now smoke-Free and in a much happier place. She was one of the few people that saw my late night IG post over a month ago about taking in clients free of charge to help them live a healthier life. I provided her with the @fitdorks’ “Simple Guide to a Healthier You” that contained the 28 day- #FitCurveChallenge (available on www.ladydork.com/guides). I was only the push but she did all the work! So you go girl!

Before #FitCurveChallenge:
My name is Yasmine Jordan I am 33. I have 2 kids, 14 and 9 years old-one of my children was brought into this world by emergency c-section in 2006. I was in a car accident in 2012 where I found myself in horrible pain, stressed out and very depressed. I picked up bad habits depending on prescription pills, eating poorly and smoking cigarettes. Fast forward to 2015/16 I made a lot of changes attempting to eat more healthy, stick to a regular workout schedule and not take pain killers. Also, I just quit smoking cigarettes this year. I always wanted to make time to workout and eat better, with a family and a full schedule I had a hard time finding just that. Ultimately, I just needed that extra PUSH! I came across this fit challenge and immediately felt drawn in. I have never been in a fitness challenge where it would physically and mentally challenge me for 28 days. I plan to complete these 28 days fully committed, gain back my figure, feel GREAT in whatever I put on and most importantly mentally conditioning myself to continue a healthy lifestyle.
After #FitCurveChallenge:
First and foremost I am thankful to be apart of this fit curve challenge. I took it very seriously and stuck to the directions. The first few days were very hard! I also quit smoking, I felt it would have compromised this challenge if I smoked and tried to eat and be healthy. I am 1 month and a week cigarette free! I meditated and drank plenty of water! I cooked and prepped everyday for this challenge. I had snacks handy and didn't drink a drop of alcohol. Mentally, I felt more clear and focused because I had a goal. Physically, I felt like I could fit and feel good in my clothes- I barely broke out as I have sensitive skin and I wasn't as bloated when my period came around. I did have a lot of cravings- but didn't give in to my usual chocolate overload! I quit coffee too so I felt tired the first week as well. When my stomach felt flatter I couldn't help but stick to what I was doing- it was doing a lot of good... And I really didn't have any complaints. Mentally it was very challenging to meditate so that is something I will continue to work on. I am going to stick to this lifestyle change. I have switched my family to coconut milk and I no longer own butter, I cook strictly with olive oil. This change has made me appreciate my health a lot more and made me aware of how much I did eat out on a regular basis. I get full quicker and seem more hungry often. I also accompanied 2 days a week bootcamp and 2-3 days a week walking or weight lifting. Doing yoga worked out after or before my workouts. I feel more flexible and balanced.
I appreciate you sharing the challenge with me.... See, I just needed that push! I feel amazing! And I'm going to stick to it! My goal is by my birthday to be at my best! (June24) I appreciate you! Thank you!
